Rebranded from The Delicious Food Show, The Toronto Food & Wine Festival is back this year, bumping up the date to September instead of their usual October dates (I was bummed out and suffering serious FOMO last year when I was out of town and missed it). While the changes are subtle, the new name signifies a much more collective approach, and their new location, this year hosting at Evergreen Brickworks (instead of the stuffy Direct Energy Centre) means that running into your fave celebrity chef is all that much more possible (and all that natural lighting means your selfie game will be on point).
Highlights for this years festival (all you foodie stalkers take note) include getting up close and personal in the Cuisinart kitchen with Curtis Stone, Chuck Hughes and Tyler Florence, where you’ll work alongside the chefs making a spectacular meal (get your self a ticket stat to join this event, it will sell out quickly!). If food gawking is more up your alley, then the Miele stage is where you’ll want to park yourself, watching (and drooling no doubt) chefs such as Curtis Stone, Tyler Florence, Gail Simmons, Chuck Hughes, Roger Mooking, Mark McEwan and Antonio Park dishing out their tips and tricks as they prepare some of their best dishes from their illustrious restaurants.
The three day event will also be home to the Grand Tasting Pavilion (hosted by PC Black Label), with over 130 flavours to test and try, so keeping in the spirit of the Brickworks perhaps biking or walking there will be a wise decision.
More details about what to expect and who will be attending are up on their website, so buy your tickets now to avoid disappointment.
